Expensive use of the name Anzac.

With reference to the name ANZAC, This article appeared in The Times on 17th April 1917.

The poor man was made to pay for the wrong use of the word.

“For unlawfully using the word “Anzac” Frank Gleson, a music-hall performer, was fined £5 at Middlesbrough.

He had described himself as “Driver Frank Gleson, the Anzac Tenor.””
