Stone Cross War Memorial on the corner of Hailsham Road, adjacent to St Luke's Church, Stone Cross near Eastbourne, East Sussex.
In common with most War Memorials the names bear witness to the fact that many families lost more than one member.
Pictured above is a view of St. Luke's from the cross roads at Stone Cross. In the foreground is the war memorial with the names of local people who lost their life during two world wars. Their names are read out during each Remembrance Sunday service.
St. Luke's Church, which was built in the 1920s, fell into disrepair during the 1970s and re-opened in 1988.
